Alluc: the search engine for films and series, rebuilt as a catalogue with a Watch now button for your country

Alluc was a search engine before it was anything else. For thirteen years the page was a wordmark, a wide search field and two grey buttons, and people typed a title and got a list of places it played. That is still the page. Type South Park, Dark in either of its languages, Breaking Bad or the shorthand for Better Call Saul, and you land on the title's page: the story, the cast, every season and every dated episode, and a Watch now button that lists the licensed services streaming it in your country, the free ones marked. Trends shows what people are opening this week and Latest additions shows what arrived, the two lists the old site kept as pages of their own.

Underneath the search box is what the engine never had: a catalogue. Three hundred and eleven productions at the September 2026 update, the long American runs the engine was used for most, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Rick and Morty, Supernatural, The Office; the series of the streaming era, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Boys, Succession; the German, Korean and anime shelves; and the films, from Avengers: Endgame and Creed II to this year's releases. Save what you want to My List and Alluc keeps your place, without an account.

The front page, measured from the 2017 original

The front page is laid out the way alluc.ee looked in October 2017, because that is the page people mean when they type the name. A grey page; a white panel with a soft shadow; the lowercase wordmark with the red square for the dot; a wide, square-cornered search field that turns blue when you click into it; and the grey gradient button pair beneath it, which read Find Streams and Find Downloads then and read Find films and Find series now, because the two tabs the old page offered, Streams and Downloads, are the two kinds of thing this catalogue holds. Under the panel, the two lists the old site kept as pages of their own: Trends, the ten titles people are opening most this week, and Latest additions, the ten newest arrivals, both as plain text links with the year and the type beside each, the way the old Trends page listed its searches.

Below that the catalogue begins: Featured, Latest films, Latest series, New episodes, Trending, the shelves, the genres, the years and the A-Z list, six posters across on a desktop and two on a phone, each card a poster with its title beneath in the old blue link colour. What changed is everything under the surface. The old page returned hoster links; this one returns a title page with the story, the cast and every dated episode, and a Watch now button that lists licensed services by country. The old page had no posters and no genre menu; this one has both. And the page is built for the phone first, which the 2017 page was not.

"No results found", and why it stopped happening

"alluc no results found" is a phrase people still type, a memory of the old engine on a slow night. Here an empty result has three causes and each has a fix. A title in another language: the original-title search covers it, so the German or Korean name finds the page. A film searched as a series or the reverse: the Find films and Find series buttons separate them, and the Type filter on the search page does the same. A title on the shelf under a different release name: the facts panel on every page lists the other names, and every one of them is searchable, so the working title and the market title reach the same place. For the cases that remain, the A-Z list is the whole catalogue in one scroll, which is what "alluc movies list" means.

Reading a card

Every card says the same things: the poster, drawn with the old site's soft shadow, the title beneath it in the old link blue, and under the title the year and the language, "2019 · English film", "2017 · German series", "2021 · Korean series". A series carries the count of dated episodes on its page, a film carries its runtime. The star rating with its vote count sits beside the year where there are enough votes to mean something. The language on the card is the original language of the production, which is the one the shelves follow, and the HD label says the title plays in high definition on the services in the Watch now list.

Reading a title page

A title page begins with the poster, the original title in its own language beneath the English one where they differ, and a row of chips: Film or TV, the year, the runtime or the number of dated episodes, and the first three genres. Then the story, then the two buttons, Watch now and Add to My List. Under the story, the Where to watch panel with the country menu; then the facts, the original title, the release date, the original language, the country of production, the number of seasons, the studio, the TMDB rating with its vote count, and the other names the title goes by, every one of them searchable. Below that, the cast and the creators, each a search away from their other work, a You may also like row built from the genre and the language rather than the chart, and for a series the season links, each opening a table with every episode and a Reached this episode button on every row.

The long runs

The name's visitors searched the long American runs more than anything else, and the long-running shelf is where they live. The Simpsons runs to eight hundred and one dated episodes across thirty-six seasons, Family Guy four hundred and fifty-six, South Park three hundred and thirty-two, Supernatural three hundred and twenty-seven, The Big Bang Theory two hundred and seventy-nine, The Office a hundred and eighty-six, Rick and Morty ninety-one, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Adventure Time and Phineas and Ferb behind them. A run watched across a year on two devices is otherwise a run where you see the same episode twice; press Reached this episode on the row you finished and the place is kept, and the season page lists every row with its air date and a one-line summary, which settles most arguments about where you were.

The streaming era

The streaming era shelf gathers the series of the last dozen years with enough votes behind them to mean something: Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Boys, Succession, Squid Game, Dark, Money Heist, Peaky Blinders, Westworld, Black Mirror, Yellowstone, Euphoria, Fargo, Billions, The Handmaid's Tale and Outlander. Succession, Better Call Saul, Euphoria and Rick and Morty are searched with the name every month, and each has its seasons on its page. The service a series belongs to is on its Watch now list for your country, which is the honest way to say it, because the same series sits on different services in different countries.

The German shelf

Alluc was founded in Germany and its imprint named a company in Birmingham, and the engine always carried German productions, which the German shelf keeps: Dark, Babylon Berlin, How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast), The Tasters, Girl You Know It's True, System Crasher, Sapphire Blue and Windstorm. Original audio is German; the English subtitles travel with every stream and the English dub sits in the audio menu on the larger titles, Dark and Babylon Berlin among them. Every German title is searchable by its German name and its English one, which is where the exact titles page earns its place.

The Korean shelf and the anime

The Korean shelf holds Squid Game, Hellbound, Tale of the Nine Tailed, The Trauma Code, Tomorrow, Welcome to Samdal-ri, The Good Bad Mother and Island, each with every season and every dated episode; sixteen episodes and a real ending is the usual shape, which makes the shelf the easiest on the site to plan around. The anime shelf holds Attack on Titan, Bleach, Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, In This Corner of the World, Bubble and Given, with the anime films on a shelf of their own. Original audio is Korean or Japanese; the subtitles and, on the larger titles, the dubs are in the service's audio menu.

The films

A hundred and seventy-six films are on the films shelf, and the two people search with the name are there: Avengers: Endgame and Creed II, the second after Creed and the first after Infinity War, which is what the year on the card is for. The rest runs from the Hollywood releases of the last few years to the German and Japanese films, with the runtime on every page so a film can be the whole evening. The superhero shelf gathers the comic-book films and series, and Latest films is where a new release sits the week it arrives.

Series with every episode dated

"alluc tv series" and "alluc tv shows" are searched every month, and the series shelf holds a hundred and thirty-five series with five hundred and sixty-six seasons and 8,612 dated episodes between them. Every series has a page per season with every episode in order, the title, the day it aired and a one-line summary, counted the way the services count them. The ongoing shelf gathers the forty-one series still returning, which is the shelf to check before starting something, and the status chip on each page says whether the story is finished or resting between seasons. Every row has a Reached this episode button; the seasons page explains the rest.

Superheroes, comedy, drama and the rest

The old engine had no genre menu, and the shelves are the part of this page it never had. Comedy is the largest and the most searched: South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Rick and Morty, The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Big Bang Theory and Malcolm in the Middle. Drama holds Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Succession, Mad Men, This Is Us, Euphoria, Babylon Berlin and System Crasher. Crime and mystery holds Money Heist, Peaky Blinders, Fargo, Sons of Anarchy, Billions and How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast). Sci-fi and fantasy holds Game of Thrones, Westworld, Dark, Fringe, Heroes, Black Mirror, Adventure Time and The Clone Wars. Horror and thriller holds Stranger Things, Hellbound, Squid Game and Fringe. Action and adventure holds Creed II, Endgame, Supernatural, Spartacus and Attack on Titan. Animation and family holds the cartoons the name is known for, and Superheroes holds Endgame, The Boys, Young Justice, Legends of Tomorrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Top rated series is the shelf where Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Better Call Saul, Attack on Titan, Dark, Succession and The Office sit together with nothing but the score between them.

Years and New in 2026

New in 2026 holds the thirty-four titles that arrived this year, newest first, and 2025 holds last year's thirty-nine. From the 2010s is the decade the engine served, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Dark, Babylon Berlin, Money Heist, Endgame and Creed II; From the 2000s and before holds The Office, Supernatural, Heroes, Fringe, Mad Men and Sons of Anarchy, and with them The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy, which started before the engine did and are still running. The years page goes year by year.

My List and Reached this episode

Add to My List sits beside Watch now on every title page, and the list itself opens from My List at the top right of every page. A card on the list carries the poster, the year and the language, and for a series the place you reached, "Season 4, Episode 9", set by pressing Reached this episode on the season table; press a later row and the place moves with you, the button changes to Saved here, and the row is picked out the next time the page opens. All of this works straight from the browser, which is the answer to "alluc login" and "alluc account": the list lives in the browser, private to you. Export writes the titles and the marks to a file a few kilobytes long, Import reads such a file and merges it with the later mark winning, and between them a list travels from a phone to a tablet to a television's browser, and survives a browser's data being cleared if the export was taken first. The viewing country is kept in the same place.

Watch now and your country

Watch now is the button under every title, and it is what the old engine's result list became. Press it and the title opens on the services streaming it in the country you chose: the global subscriptions that hold the streaming originals and the Hollywood films, the local services that carry the German and Korean series, the free ad-supported services marked as free, and the stores that sell or rent a film, each with the price where there is one. Choose the service and the title plays there in HD, in the language you choose from its audio menu, on every device that service supports, with its own download button for the train. Alluc stays where you were, on the title page, ready for the next search.

Twelve countries are covered, and the country matters more than anything else on the page: a series on one service in the United States can be on another in Germany, the Korean originals sit on a global service in one country and a local one in the next, and a film in the cinema in one place is on a service in another. Choose the country you are in, change it deliberately when you travel, and change it back. A title on no service where you are yet shows its options the week one licenses it, so a film saved to My List at release is worth a second look a month later. Every service on the list is a licensed one operating in the country you selected, which is what makes viewing legal wherever you are, and it is how the site pays its way, through a referral fee some services pay at their ordinary price. The country page describes the services in each of the twelve.

Free, and the streaming links

"alluc free movies", "alluc streaming", "alluc streaming links", "alluc watch online" and "alluc movies online" are the questions of whether the site costs anything and where the streams are. Everything here is free: search, Trends, the shelves, every title and season page, My List and the app, with no account and nothing between you and any page. The streaming links are the Watch now list: the services streaming a title in your country, the free ad-supported ones marked as free beside the subscriptions and the stores. Free carries more than people expect: the older Hollywood catalogue, the network series of the 2000s and 2010s, the German and Korean series a year or two after release, and the older seasons of many long runs. The new releases and the streaming originals sit on the subscriptions first and drift to the free tiers over time, and the free to watch page says which is which.

HD, 4K and data

480p is the data-saver tier and looks fine on a phone; 720p and 1080p are both HD, 1080p the full frame, and the difference shows on a television and disappears on a phone; 4K is the top tier of the global services for films finished for the cinema and adds little to a series. The service decides the tier from the master, your plan and the screen, and the year on the card is the quickest guide: a series from 2005 was mastered for the screens of 2005. HD needs about five megabits a second and uses one to three gigabytes an hour; a film in HD is three to four gigabytes and about one at 480p; a season of a series is six to eight in HD. Choose 480p on mobile data and 1080p on Wi-Fi, and if a stream buffers, drop the tier one step in the player and it settles. The quality page has the numbers in one place.

The app, the APK, the add-on and the API key

"alluc app", "alluc android app" and "alluc apk" are searched every month, and the app installs from the browser: Add to Home screen in Chrome on Android, share then Add to Home Screen in Safari on iPhone, two taps, the blue icon, full-screen with your list, your country and your episode marks inside it, updating itself every time it opens. Nothing from APKPure, nothing sideloaded. "alluc addon", "alluc kodi", "alluc api key" and "alluc api key for terrarium tv" are the questions of a generation of media-centre users who pointed their add-ons at the old engine's API, and everything that API answered is on the page now: type the title, open it, press Watch now, and the services carrying it in your country are listed with a link into each, which works inside a television browser and casts from the service's own app. The app page answers the rest.

Login, accounts and passwords

"alluc login", "alluc account", "alluc register", "alluc sign up", "alluc username and password" and "alluc verify account" belong to the old engine's user accounts, and the answer here is a feature: there is nothing to log into. My List, the viewing country and the episode marks are kept in your own browser, with no password to lose and no page asking for one; the installed app carries them; the export file moves them. A page under this name that asks for a login is a namesake, and the safe and legal page says how to tell.

Downloads

"alluc download" and "alluc movies download" are searched every month, and the download lives inside the service you open with Watch now: films and whole seasons come down to a phone or tablet in HD, in the language you chose, and stay for weeks. Press Watch now, choose the service for your country, open the title there and use its download button. The old engine's Downloads tab listed hosters; the service's download does the job on the phone you already have. A film is about a gigabyte at 480p and three to four in HD; a season is six to eight. Download over Wi-Fi the night before and the train costs nothing. The downloads page covers space, tracks and the export to take before a long trip.

On a television and a PC

"alluc tv" is searched every month, and the arrangement most households settle on is to choose on the phone and play on the television. Find the title here, press Watch now, pick the service for your country, and use the cast icon inside that service's own player: Chromecast on Android, AirPlay on an iPhone, the television's built-in cast on Samsung and LG sets. The stream goes from the service to the television directly in HD, and the phone is left free as the remote with My List open on it. Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV's Silk browser open the site directly and the search box takes the remote's keyboard or the voice button; Watch now opens the title in the service's TV app when it is installed. On a PC, any browser opens the site and the app installs from the address bar. The devices page takes each screen in turn.

What happened to Alluc

"what is alluc", "alluc discontinued", "alluc 2018", "alluc org old version" and "alluc review" are searched every month, and the story is short. Alluc ran for thirteen years as a search engine for streams, from 2005, claiming by its last year more than eighty million links from more than seven hundred services, with an API that media-centre add-ons used and a Trends page that listed what people were searching. In March 2018 its operators closed it with a notice saying it had run its course and that any other site using the name was not theirs. alluc.ee was its last address, and the October 2017 capture of that page is what the design here is measured from: the grey page, the white panels, the square field, the grey buttons, the two tabs, the Trends list. The addresses page tells the story in full.

alluc.ee, alluc.co, alluc.uno, alluc.xyz and the address to keep

Type the name into a search engine and the suggestions come with a tail: alluc ee, alluc org, alluc co, alluc uno, alluc xyz, alluc one, alluc ru, alluc me, alluc zip, alluc board, alluc 123, alluc covenant. The first two were the engine's own addresses; the rest were namesakes that borrowed the name after 2018, each a catalogue template with the name on top, and "alluc ee replacement", "alluc proxy", "alluc unblock" and "alluc ee proxy" are the searches of people looking for the original through them. This address is the engine's page with a real catalogue underneath, and it does not move; save it to the home screen and the question never comes up again. On a filtered network, the phone's mobile data or a VPN you already trust gets you here. The real site has the lowercase wordmark with the red square dot, a search box that reads any title, title pages with the cast and the episodes, a Watch now button that lists services by country, and nothing else: no registration, no download button pointing at a file, no page asking for a card, no player asking for a plug-in.

When it will not load

Most "not working" searches with this name come from a namesake going dark, and the addresses page is the first place to look. If this address will not load, switch the phone between Wi-Fi and mobile data, because a filtering network is the usual cause, and wait a few minutes if it loads on neither. The grey page and the white panels are missing and the text runs edge to edge: the stylesheet did not arrive; reload once, then clear the site's data if it persists. Search stuck at Loading results: scripts are blocked; allow them, or use the A-Z list and the shelves, which work without them. Watch now shows nothing for your country: change the country menu, or check back after the release window. A bad-gateway message belongs to the service's own player, and reloading it or picking another service fixes it. The not working page goes through each.

Safe and legal

Nothing is installed, no account is created and no file is offered; the only things kept are your list, your viewing country and your episode marks, and they stay in your own browser, listed on the privacy page. The film plays on the service you choose from the Watch now list for the country you select, and every service on that list is a licensed one operating in that country, which is what makes the viewing legal wherever you are. The age guidance is on the service you open; adult productions are not listed here. The safe and legal page has both answers in full.

Alternatives, replacements and Reddit

"alluc alternative", "alluc replacement", "alluc similar sites", "sites like alluc", "alluc alternative reddit" and "123movies alluc similar sites" come up wherever the name is known, because the engine closed in 2018 and people have been looking for what it did since. What it did was find a title by any name and list where it played; this address does the same with a catalogue underneath: every title with its story, cast and dated episodes, and a Watch now list of licensed services by country. Four things decide whether a site like this is worth keeping: whether the search reads every name a title goes by; whether every series lists every episode with its date; whether the answer to "where does it play" is licensed and by country; and whether it works on a phone and a television. The alternatives page takes each in turn, and the Reddit threads asking what replaced Alluc are worth reading for the mood; the answer is the same every time.

Ratings

The score on every card and page is the TMDB audience rating, shown with its vote count, and the vote count is the part to read: a score of 8.9 from twenty thousand votes is a settled verdict, and the same score from forty votes is an opening week that will drift. That is why the Top rated series shelf requires at least five hundred votes behind a title and the Top rated page requires more. The scores are TMDB's, not IMDb's, and they run high for the long comedies and the German originals because the people who vote on them are the people who finished them. The minimum-rating filter on the search page uses a floor of fifty votes; combine it with a language and a year and the result is a short list worth reading in full.

Planning an evening, a weekend, a run

The runtime on a film's page and the episode count on a series' page turn a search into a plan. A film is an evening, and the runtime says how long; Endgame is three hours, Creed II two. A Korean drama of sixteen episodes is a fortnight of evenings with a real ending. A streaming original of eight to ten episodes an hour, Dark's three seasons, Succession's four, is a weekend each. A network run of twenty-two episodes a season is a month; the long runs are a year or more, and they are where Reached this episode earns its place on every row. The status chip is the other half of the plan: Ended means the season pages are a checklist and the ending is a real one; Returning means a new season is coming and the ongoing shelf will show it the day it drops; Cancelled means the story stopped early, which is worth knowing before the first episode.

Actors, directors and studios

Every title page lists its cast and its creators, and every name is a link that runs a search, which is the one search the old engine could not do. The same names recur across the shelves, and following the thread from one title to the next is how most people find the one they did not know they wanted: from Breaking Bad to Better Call Saul by way of the cast and the creators, from Dark to the rest of its creators' work, from Succession to Billions by way of the writers, from one Korean lead to the other series they carry. Studios work the same way: type the production house and its titles line up. The results page shows the poster cards with the year and the language beneath each, so a filmography is a shelf of its own.

Genres, years, languages and the A-Z list

Four browse pages sit under the shelves and in the footer, and they are the part of the site the old engine did not have. The genre pages list every genre attached to the catalogue with the count on each, sorted by popularity. The years page is a row of years; pick one and the films and series of that year sit together across every language. The languages page lists the original languages with the count on each, English, German, Korean, Japanese and Spanish, and the country page lists the countries of production, which is different from the viewing country you choose on a title page. The A-Z list is the whole catalogue as one alphabet, every film and series under its English title with the original name searchable behind it, and the fastest way to answer whether a title is on the site at all. Each of these is a page of its own with a stable address, so a genre, a year or a language is a bookmark, and each opens on a phone with the same two-across posters as the front page.

The 2017 page, part by part

People who used the engine remember its parts, and each has a successor. The Streams and Downloads tabs, grey with the active one lighter, became the Find films and Find series buttons under the search field and the Films and Series pages behind them. The 24 Hours, 7 Days and 30 Days row under the tabs, which sorted results by how recently a link was added, became New episodes and Latest films, sorted by the date a title or an episode actually released rather than the date somebody uploaded it. The left-hand filter column, with its language filter and its hoster filter that turned red when active, became the Language and Country filters on the search page and the languages page. The hoster column and the 16:9 thumbnails with the host name over the corner became poster cards with the title beneath, and the hoster names themselves became the Watch now list, which names licensed services instead. The typeahead that highlighted the matching letters in blue is the search box's suggestions. The Trends and Latest searches pages became the two lists under the search panel. The About, Imprint and Add alluc to your browser links in the footer became the about page, the privacy page and the app page. The one part with no successor is the miner the October 2017 page ran in the visitor's browser, which is the part nobody remembers fondly.

One television, several people

A television is shared, and the common problem is two people at different points in the same long run, or a household that follows a German original, a Korean drama and a network comedy at once. Each browser keeps its own list and its own episode marks, so the simplest arrangement is one phone per person: each marks their own row with Reached this episode, and whichever phone opens the television session chooses the episode. The television's browser can keep a third list for the films the whole room watches together. When the room disagrees about where it stopped, the season page settles it: every episode with its date and a one-line summary. Export from My List moves a list between two phones and a television with a small file, and the later mark wins when two lists merge; the seasons page explains which episode to mark, which is the one everyone finished, not the one about to start.

Original names, release names and the other names

Every title page shows the original name beneath the English one where they differ, German for the German shelf, Hangul for the Korean, Japanese for the anime, Spanish for Money Heist, and the facts panel lists the other names the title goes by: the transliteration, the working title, the name it released under abroad. Every one of those names is searchable, which is what makes the search box forgiving: La casa de papel and Money Heist open the same page, Shingeki no Kyojin and Attack on Titan agree, Dark's German title is its English one and both work. Where two titles share a name, the year on the card separates them, and the Language filter separates a German original from an English remake; the exact titles page and the same name page take the awkward cases.

On a phone

The site is laid out for a phone first: the search panel fills the width with the wordmark above it and the two buttons beneath, the Trends tabs and the result lists stack under it, the filter column folds above the results, the menu and the search sit in the drawer behind the ≡ button on every other page, the season tables full width, and the country menu and Watch now under the poster. The search box is the fastest way around on a small screen, one title to any page, and the installed app opens on the search panel with My List one tap away. On mobile data, choose 480p in the service's player and download over Wi-Fi the night before; the quality page has the numbers.

Questions

What is Alluc?

Alluc was a search engine for streams for thirteen years, from 2005 to March 2018, and this is the search engine rebuilt as a catalogue. Type any title in any language and land on its page: the story, the cast, every season and every dated episode, and a Watch now button that lists the licensed services streaming it in your country, the free ones marked.

What happened to Alluc?

Its operators closed the search engine in March 2018 with a notice that any other site using the name was not theirs; alluc.ee was its last address. The addresses since, alluc.co, alluc.uno, alluc.xyz, alluc.one and the rest, were namesakes with a catalogue template under the name. This address is the design of the 2017 page with a real catalogue underneath, and it does not move.

Is there an Alluc alternative or replacement?

This one. What the engine did was find a title by any name and list where it played, and that is what Watch now does with licensed services by country. For a title you will rewatch, the services on the Watch now list are the better second place.

Does Alluc have an app, an APK, a Kodi add-on or an API key?

The app installs from the browser: Add to Home screen in Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone, two taps, the blue icon, full-screen with your list inside. Everything the old API answered for add-ons is on the page now: type the title, open it, press Watch now, and the services carrying it in your country are listed with a link into each.

Why is there no Alluc login or account?

Because nothing here needs one. My List, the viewing country and the episode marks are kept in your own browser, with no password to lose. The login, register and username searches belong to the old engine's accounts.

Can I download from Alluc?

Is Alluc safe?

The site installs nothing, creates no account and offers no file. Three things are kept, your list, your viewing country and your episode marks, and all three live in your own browser. The viewing itself happens on the licensed service you pick from the Watch now list for your country, and that licence is what keeps it legal where you are.

How do TV series work on Alluc?

Every series has a page per season with every episode listed and dated: South Park's twenty-six seasons, The Simpsons' thirty-six, Rick and Morty, Dark, Squid Game and the rest. New episodes lists the newest rows across every series, a Reached this episode button on every row keeps your place, and My List shows it under the series.

Is Alluc not working?

If it will not load, switch the phone between Wi-Fi and mobile data, because a filtering network is the usual cause, and check the addresses page if you came from a namesake. If pages look unstyled, reload once. If search stops at Loading results, allow scripts. If Watch now lists nothing, change the country menu.
