Exact titles on Alluc: release names, original names and the other names

Why a film can carry three names, which one the card shows, and how every one of them reaches the same page.

Three names for one film

A production carries the name it released under in English, its original name, and often a working title or a market-specific one. Every title page shows the original title beneath the English one and lists the other names in its facts panel, and every one of those names is searchable. Dark, Babylon Berlin and How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) find their pages by either name; the Korean and Japanese titles do the same.

Which name the card shows

The English release name, with the year beside it, because that is the name most people type. Where two titles share a name, the year separates them; the same name, different film page takes the awkward cases.

Shorthand

Initials and nicknames are aliases too: bcs, got, aot, snl. The search guide lists how the search reads them.
